Area Attractions
The greater Santa Fe area is one of the most enjoyable destinations in the nation. Established by Spaniards in 1610, Santa Fe (less than 20 minutes from Glorieta) is the nation's oldest continuing capital. Beautiful Pueblo and Spanish Territorial style architecture adds to the already incredible southwestern atmosphere.
In the center of town rests the Palace of the Governors - a historic collection of cultural shops, museums and restaurants where Native American Indians sit along sidewalks, displaying their beautiful handmade turquoise jewelry for sale. Others might enjoy some of the nation's best fly fishing in nearby Pecos. Those seeking more excitement might raft the powerful whitewater rapids of the Rio Grande.
The opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor excitement is endless in this incredible land of western scenery and enchantment.
